Report: Beyonce And Jay Z Welcome Twin Babies

Written by Kallie Provencher

It’s official: Queen Bey has given birth!

According to TMZ, Beyonce and Jay Z welcomed the babies earlier this week. Some sources say Beyonce gave birth on Monday, June 12. This explains why Jay skipped the Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony on Thursday.

As for the genders of the twins, it’s now being said Beyonce welcomed a girl and boy. A mysterious woman was photographed carrying pink and blue balloons with a card for “B & J”  into the Los Angeles-area hospital where Bey planned to deliver.

TMZ also reported on the sighting, but did not confirm if B and J are actually Bey and Jay.

“There were signs she might have given birth to a boy and a girl based on balloons that were delivered to a hospital, but no hard evidence so far.”

Mathew Knowles, Beyonce’s father, took to social media on Sunday to congratulate the couple. While some commenters questioned if Knowles had the new parents’ blessing to make the announcement, others stated the twins’ arrival is a great Father’s Day present.

“Why he so damn thirsty.”

“What a great father’s day gift.”

So far, Mathew is the only family member to comment on the birth. Neither Beyonce nor Jay Z have publicly addressed the arrival of their newest additions. Beyonce’s mother, Tina, has also been quiet on the subject.

Fans speculated Beyonce was expecting a boy and girl from the very beginning as she wore a blue and pink outfit to announce her pregnancy. More recently, Jay Z can be heard rapping about his twin babies in DJ Khaled‘s “Shining.”

In the song, Jay states he wants a boy and girl, but also implies he may not have known ahead of time what the genders were.

“I want a boy and girl to fight for truth. Whatever God give me, I’m cool.”

Of course, it was also said Beyonce was expecting twin girls after President Obama delivered a speech in Jay’s honor at the Songwriters Hall of Fame. However, nothing has been confirmed other than the twins are finally here!

Happy Father’s Day to Jay Z and all the other dads out there!
